And the crowd goes Wild! (well mom anyway)

Kamie has been working so hard and for so long on sitting up! And just yesterday she did it all by herself. She just sat there looking around for the longest time. I guess the house does look a little different from this angle. This is really the first time I was there to see her sit up so I grabbed the camera fast! Her dad called me at our store tonight to tell me she sat up in her crib like this for twenty minutes. And just smiled and laughed because she could do it by herself. It's moments like this that make all the hard times easier to get through. We always have hope that she will do these things, but we just don't expect it either. And that's when she surprises us. It really brings tears to your eyes to see the excitement she feels to do things herself. Especially when you have watched her struggle so much. So I just hold her in my arms and tell her how proud I am. I guess it's true, miracles really do happen.

We always knew, here's proof

This year our church asked all the kids to dress up as different parts in the story of Jesus's birth. Kamie was asked to be an angel. To us she is always an angel so dressing her up was not a stretch. The dress she is wearing is actually her cousin Shalisha's blessing dress.
They asked me to take the pictures of all the different scenes and then we are going to put them on as a slide show for our Christmas program. It was a lot of fun and with the music added it will be a great way to celebrate the birth of our Savior.
We also got some really cute pictures of all the kids. This of course is my favorite. Even Jay another special needs kid, got to dress up and have a picture. He was the cutest of all the sheep.
