Day at the lake

We had so much fun at the lake with Kamie. She even had her first canoe ride. Kamie and Dave enjoyed it but the mom in me was on full alert the whole time. Needless to say we went once around the lake and then I told them both that we were done. Moms always ruin all the fun. Not because we like to be mean, but because we are terrified of all the ways we have thought of that our kids MIGHT get hurt. Good thing for dads, none of us would have ever ridden a bicycle without them! Notice how cute Dave looks. He doesn't care how much he is laughed at for that hat (it came from Argentina and also survived his recent trip into the creek with the truck!). And to watch him get into his waders would bring anyone to tears. I'm glad he's dressing to empress all the girls because he looks like a penguin! That's why I love him!
